Students from Nazareth Catholic College will be performing at the recently renovated Woodville Town Hall on the 15th of September with the Woodville Concert Band.

Rehearsals will no longer be held at Adelaide High School. The renovations to the Woodville Town Hall are complete.

About the band

Woodville Concert Band is a community concert band of 30 members situated in the Western suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia, and is affiliated with the City of Charles Sturt. The Band's membership represents a good mix of ages and abilities on Woodwind, Brass and Percussion.

The Concert Band plays a variety of different styles of music, including but not limited to:
Big Band, Jazz & Swing
Movie and TV themes
Marches and Classics
Pop and Rock
Show tunes

The Band plays at a variety of engagements in the community. These include the Band's annual Evening Cabaret, a tour to regional South Australia, afternoon concerts and private functions. It performs for Council organised events and for nursing homes and other private businesses & organisations.

Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights at 7:30−9:30pm at the Woodville Town Hall (enter off Kemp Street.)

Woodville Concert Band aims:

  • To promote musical education and to perform together at concerts and for the musical pleasure of the community.
  • To encourage participation amongst students and adults in the community.
  • To maintain active liaison with all schools in the region.

The Woodville Concert Band is always looking for new members to join our ranks.
